I want to be like Paul and thank God that I can pray for you. I thank God because I know the good he has done for me and what he can do for you. I thank God for his mercy and grace. If he has done these things for me I know he can do them for you. I know that he wants to do even greater things for you. If I pray for you and he helps you and your faith becomes strong then I will become better then I was. My faith will become stronger and I will again help you and you will help me and we become even greater then we were. Thank God that you are able to pray for me and I will thank him for you.
8 First I want to say that I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because people everywhere in the world are talking about your faith.9 God, whom I serve with my whole heart by telling the Good News about his Son, knows that I always mention you 10 every time I pray. I pray that I will be allowed to come to you, and this will happen if God wants it.11 I want very much to see you, to give you some spiritual gift to make you strong.12 I mean that I want us to help each other with the faith we have. Your faith will help me, and my faith will help you.
God Is Already at Work
If you are praying for someone thankfully God is already at work in their life. When you pray thankfully you acknowledge the all knowing, all present, all powerful and all giving God. You are acknowledging the same God that is at work in your life, that knows all about you, that straighten you is the one that can clean and make holy the one that you are praying for.
Be careful that you do not pray for someone as if you are the doctor, that is what the evil one want you to do. He wants you to pray as if you are the one that can heal as if you are better then the one you pray for and as if you have power and have arrived. The only power you have is through Jesus Christ he is the reason that you are save and you have the spiritual gifts you have. When you pray thankfully you acknowledge your faith in his power and because you have acknowledged him. God will show you the work of your faith in the life of the one you pray for if it is God’s will.
1 Corinthians 1:4
4 I always thank my God for you because of the grace God has given you in Christ Jesus.
16 I have not stopped giving thanks to God for you. I always remember you in my prayers,
3 I thank my God every time I remember you,
1 Thessalonians 1:
2 We always thank God for all of you and mention you when we pray.3 We continually recall before God our Father the things you have done because of your faith and the work you have done because of your love. And we thank him that you continue to be strong because of your hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Thessalonians 1:
2 Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 We must always thank God for you, brothers and sisters. This is only right, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love that every one of you has for each other is increasing.
2 Timothy 1:3
3 I thank God as I always mention you in my prayers, day and night. I serve him, doing what I know is right as my ancestors did. 4 Remembering that you cried for me, I want very much to see you so I can be filled with joy.5 I remember your true faith. That faith first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice, and I know you now have that same faith.6 This is why I remind you to keep using the gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you. Now let it grow, as a small flame grows into a fire.7 God did not give us a spirit that makes us afraid but a spirit of power and love and self-control.
