Made Pure by Fire

Made Pure by Fire

I have heard it said that a wedding ring is a symbol of eternity for a marriage because there is no beginning and no ending. I have also heard it said that the wedding ring is a the symbol of eternity because it is made of precious metal that has been refined by fire to remove the impurities contained within .

When we marry we hear this story of the wedding ring , this symbol of eternity that is refined by fire and made pure. When we marry we hear the words but don’t truly understand. God is eternal. He is, He was, and always will be. God promised us that we can have an everlasting life , if we believe in him. This wedding ring that we put on our finger is the symbol of God ‘s love for us and the Love that we have for God. This is to let us know that as we walk in this world that our love will we be tried and made pure in the fire. Our imperfection will be removed and we will become like the precious metal and made whole by God ‘s grace and mercy. All we need to do is keep the faith and love God first.

In the marriage there may come a time out of nowhere when all you will see is the wickedness of evil ways. But don’t fear , just keep the faith. Love God and remember his ways may seem strange to us.

Isaiah 28:21
21 The Lord will fight as he did at Mount Perazim. He will be angry as he was in the Valley of Gibeon. He will do his work, his strange work. He will finish his job, his strange job.

Just remember that God does not delight in the death of the wicked he wants to save us all and to have us become like precious metal that is refined by the fire.

Ezekiel 33:11
11 Say to them: ‘The Lord God says: As surely as I live, I do not want any who are wicked to die. I want them to stop doing evil and live. Stop! Stop your wicked ways! You don’t want to die, do you, people of Israel

Love God First, seek the Lord, follow his commands and be patient turn from your wicked ways and endure the fires of judgement.

2 Peter 3:9
9 The Lord is not slow in doing what he promised—the way some people understand slowness. But God is being patient with you. He does not want anyone to be lost, but he wants all people to change their hearts and lives.
