Motor City Kings

Langston S. Jones aka “MotorCityKing”

On the day I was asked to audition for the role of Alice Williams’ father was totally unexpected and for the life of me I could not remember ever telling someone or anyone I wanted to act let alone a talent agent. The only person I think I ever told was God. So when the phone call came I was a little shocked and surprised. I looked at the number and almost didn’t answer because I believed it was a bill collector.

I was at an AT&T store trying to get my phone fixed it was having software problems and I wanted to reset the software. I answered the call because the other day a billed collector called and asked, how can we help you to pay this bill. I told him I was not working and if he wanted to help me he could find me a job. I thought he had found me a job and was trying to contact me. To my surprise it was a talent agent wanting to know if I could make an audition of Friday.

WOW! God is Good out of the blue sky a blessing fell into my hands. And then I began to think about it. How did this talent agent get my number. For three days I thought on this and then it occurred to me I did submit a picture to a talent agent in July. Now my heart and soul was at peace I had taken the first step and God’s grace and mercy blessed me. Thank You!
